The Smok Mico Salt Kit Quick Review/ Comparison to Smok Novo

5/12/2019 Review UPDATE: After a longer testing period and more use with the variety of pods available, we have noticed quite a few issues with its design. While they did what appeared to be a good job at preventing juice from getting into the device being a air activated vape. Unfortunately it just didn't work for the majority of cases we have seen, currently this is not a device we would recommend as there is a high chance that it will be fried from juice with just a few months. Don't get me wrong we have seen quite a few work perfect with out any issues, but this is far and in between. Now if you can snag one of these online for a good price then a few months of use may not look so bad.

Original Review:

Finally got to try out the new salt kit the Mico by Smok and I have to say I am enjoying it. The first thing I notice is the tight draw, air activate hit which made me think right away of the Smok Novo. I will say if your a fan of the tighter draw or the Novo in general then this will be a win for you.

As you have recently seen with the Smok Novo there are more option on what pod to use. For example you have the 0.8Ohm Mesh coil which is great for those looking for a bigger hit. Then you have the Standard 1.2Ohm Regular Coil which is perfect for those looking for the traditional Novo hit. And finally you also have the 1.4Ohm ceramic which is great for those looking for good flavor, and they do hit similar to the 1.2Ohm.

The Mico Pods are easy to refill and enlarged to allow proper airflow as you fill, last me around a week and a half on average. Easy but strong magnetic pod so that you don't have to worry about breaking little clips, stays in to so you can just enjoy and vape.

Couple other cool features with the Smok Mico are the physical on off switch which is handy for something that is air activated. Also the option and Included lanyard in case you lose it quite often like me, its lightweight so it works.

I will just like with any other small kit out there let the pod sit for a bit before using. You always want to make sure all cotton wicking is saturated all the way before you take your first hit on a new pod. I say give it about 10-15 min and a few dry hits, by this I mean just keep the device turned off and hit as normal this will draw more juice into the pod. By now you should be able to taste the flavor coming through.
